INVEST IN SDA




        WHAT IS THE NDIS?

        The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of offering choice and
        control, while ensuring individualised support for people with a disability aged under 65.


        With those eligible for SDA estimated to be 28,000 of the 400,000-plus people with disability,
        there are still a lot more disabled people to house. (And bear in mind the first number
        already seems to be doubling.)


        Even with this, a University of Melbourne study has determined that up to 55,000 people with
        NDIS plans will still find themselves without the affordable housing they need. With this lack
        of housing the NDIS faces an uphill battle in its quest to promote independent living.

        HOW IS THE NDIS FUNDED?


        Funding for the NDIS comes from the Commonwealth as well as state and territory
        governments. Just over half the amount comes from the Commonwealth, while the
        remainder is from state and territories. Various bilateral agreements govern this system,
        and the approach is revisited every five years.


        WHO ARE BD CONSULTANTS?

        BD Consultants was founded in mid-2019 by entrepreneur and property developer Tony
        Harvey. Tony has created an exciting, vertically integrated start-up business developing
        property to service NDIS participants.


        Tony, originally from Melbourne, started his construction business in the late 1970s in Western
        Australia after successfully tendering for numerous government contracts to construct over
        1,000 houses. Tony’s relationship with the Western Australia Government was outstanding
        for the entire time he was based in Western Australia.


        After 20 years, he relocated to Queensland and continued to successfully develop properties
        around the Gold Coast and also in Western Australia. This included negotiations, acquisition
        of land, concept design, construction and marketing.

        Along with Tony Harvey, BD Consultants has a panel of advisors.
